1. Can I take CRAN-DALE Inc. Cranberry capsules while on antibiotic therapy?

Yes, there are no known contradictions in taking cranberry capsules with antibiotics. Present evidence shows these two compounds do not work on the same metabolic pathway, at present they are thought to be acceptable to take concurrently.

2. Should I tell my Health care practitioner I am taking CRAN-Dale Inc.* cranberries?

 

Yes! We encourage patients to tell their doctors everything they are taking, including our product. Upon request, we will send a monograph to the doctor or talk to them directly about the product.  

3. Can CRAN-DALE Inc.  cranberry capsules be used as a preventative for  urinary tract infection?

Yes! It is based on food nutrition, and many patients find it very effective as a preventative for U.T.I.  They contain only their natural sweetness, there is no sugar added. 

4. Why is CRAN-DALE Inc.* Cranberry capsules more expensive than many other brands?

We emphasize quality and constantly doing research and development to improve the product. Remember: weight does not indicate potency. We have a very low moisture level in the product which makes it more potent than the weight indicates, not to mention very well preserved. 

5. What is the best time to take CRAN-DALE Inc.* Cranberry?

After breakfast or lunch. Due to its diuretic action it is best not to take before going to bed. ( A diuretic being a food or drug that has a tendency to increase urination.)

6. Is CRAN-DALE Inc.* Cranberry effective in paraplegic persons?

Due to paraplegic people sitting much of the time, bacteria (usually E-coli) is inclined to stick around the bladder walls and many paraplegics have found CRAN-DALE Inc.* Cranberry helps eliminate this problem, and take the cranberry capsules on an ongoing basis.  

7. Do I need to drink plenty of water or juice to help my U.T.I. when I am taking CRAN-DALE Inc.* Cranberry?

Unless your Health Care Practitioner has put you on restricted fluids, it is wise to take fluids. It is not wise to take large amounts of fluids at one time, giving your kidneys a proper chance to filter.  

8. How does CRAN-DALE Inc. capsules affect people with dialysis?

 It may help prevent urinary infection, but once on dialysis you will likely be on it for lifetime. Thus, do you best to keep your kidneys as healthy as possible in hopes of preventing the need for dialysis. 

9.  Is it safe to take CRAN-DALE Inc. Cranberry capsules over long periods of time?

Yes! It has been traditionally taken over long periods of time with only two cases not to take, due to allergies to cranberry or have Institial Cystitis (chronic disorder usually in women 30-49 years of age, who cannot retain urine) Some doctors claim it is the high acid foods like Cranberry, but acid is also found in various other foods, and some doctors even suggest tobacco is irritating.  

10.  What is the most effective therapeutic and preventative dosages to take daily of CRAN-DALE Inc.* Cranberry?

We suggest taking 3 capsules a day for at least 3-4 weeks to help ensure the Urinary Tract is free of bacteria, then take 2 capsules per day. You will have an idea on how the product is working based on how you feel. 

11.  Have CRAN-DALE Inc. Cranberry capsules been effective for anything other than U.T.I.?

There is some preliminary evidence of cranberry being effective for a number of other ailments such as:

- lower the P.S.A. of the prostate (part of the males urinary tract)

- helping with night blindness (food nutrients)  

12.  Does the CRAN-DALE Inc.  cranberry capsules need refrigeration?

There is no refrigeration required. The CRAN-DALE Inc. cranberry capsules are stable at room temperature - therefore -  easily carried to work or on vacation.
